The IL3122E delivers at least 2V across a 100R load, which allows better data integrity over longer cable lengths. It is also compatible with 3.3 V input supplies, allowing interface to standard microcontrollers without the need for additional level-shifting components. The IL3122 has current limiting and thermal shutdown features to protect against output short circuits and bus contention situations which may cause excessive power dissipation.Isolation is achieved through patented IsoLoop technology.
