The IL3185 delivers at least 1.5V across a 54R load which allows better data integrity over longer cable lengths. The device is also compatible with 3.3V input supplies, allowing interface to standard microcontrollers without the need for additional level-shifting components. The IL3185E has current limiting and thermal shutdown features to protect against output short circuits and bus contention situations which may cause excessive power dissipation. Isolation is achieved through patented IsoLoop technology.
