Newtek Sensor Solutions – Subsea and Marine

Rhopoint are pleased to announce NewTek Sensor Solutions as a new manufacturing partner. They compliment our current product portfolio by introducing a range of LVDTs. NewTek designs and manufactures position sensors for various applications, to survive indefinitely in corrosive subsea applications. LVDT technology is often preferred for subsea applications due to its long-term reliability, avoiding costly and difficult repairs of equipment once installed. NewTek offers AC, DC, and digital LVDTs in conformance with 20 year life requirements, and constructed with high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloys to ensure continuous operation at depths exceeding 15,000 ft. They offer a wide range of custom position sensors to meet mechanical and electrical requirements. With flexibility in design concepts, housing material, pressure ratings, and electrical output, NewTek addresses both existing and new requirements.

Seawater Ingress
• LVDTs hermetically sealed to IP-68 at 5,000 psi (350 bar) or higher
• 15000 ft (4600 meters) depth
• 100% leak tested at proof pressure

Corrosion Resistance

• Wetted parts can be made with exotic materials for corrosion resistance
• 316 SS, Inconel 625, Inconel 718, Monel, Hestalloy

Electrical Connections and Output

• Dry mate, wet mate connectors rated for seawater exposure and pressures
• AC LVDTs for submarine and ROV use
