Applications

Rhopoint wishes to notify customers that Isabellenhütte has made the decision to discontinue the RUG-Z High-precision shunt resistor series. Customers are advised that the final date for placing orders is set for the 31st of July, 2024. It is important to note that the last delivery date for these orders will be the 31st of December, 2024.
To assist our customers during this transition, Rhopoint presents a selection of RUG-Z alternatives.

The RUG-Z high-precision shunt resistor series from Isabellenhütte offers 4-terminal connection technology of very high precision current sensing shunts with a maximum power rating of 250W on a suitable heat sink. Designed for measuring high currents with very high accuracy in power supplies such as those for superconducting magnets. The RUG-Z series from Isabellenhütte has a single pulse power load of 50J (tp <10ms) capabilities.

  • Resistance values from 0.0005Ω to 100Ω
  • Tolerances of ±0.1% and ±1%
  • TCR from <±1 ppm/°C (+20°C to +60°C)
  • 250W permanent power at 85°C (with a suitable heat sink)
  • Pulse power rating of 50J for <10ms
  • Temperature range from -55°C to +110°C
  • Inductance of <10nH
  • Stability of <0.2% (TK=85°C) (at rated power, deviation after 2000h)
  • Dielectric withstanding voltage of 500VAC
