The below manufacturers are all of our authorised partners that produce GMR Magnetic Sensors or related products.

GMR Magnetic Sensors

Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) magnetic sensors utilise sandwich layers of ultra-thin ferromagnetic and nonmagnetic layers. The word “giant” refers to a large change in resistance in presence of the magnetic field, compared to other traditional magnetic sensors. At Rhopoint Components, we are proud to offer a full range of GMR sensors including analog and digital sensors, medical sensors, peripheral ICs and digital isolators from a market leader in commercial spintronic GMR.

It is common to compare a GMR magnetic sensor to traditional Hall effect sensors – the GMR offers smaller package size, higher precision and speed. If you are considering replacing your Hall effect sensors with the GMR sensors, please do not hesitate to contact us, our sales engineers are trained to provide support and help you find the best solution.

Please be advised that due to the ongoing supply issues with raw materials affecting the global electronics industry, as well as an increase in orders received by our manufacturing partners, a large number of products are facing increased lead times in recent months. For the latest lead time and stock availability, please contact one of our engineers who will be happy to discuss lead times further and the potential for alternative parts.
