Application Notes

The BVN current sensing precision resistor series from Isabellenhütte offers 4-terminal surface-mount connection technology for current sensing applications in a space-saving design. Developed for high current automotive applications with a power rating up to 10W, resistance values available are 0.0003Ω, 0.0004Ω, 0.0005Ω, 0.001Ω, 0.002Ω and 0.003Ω. The BVN series from Isabellenhütte offers excellent long term stability, manufactured from solid metal alloys and are ideal for mounting on DBC or ceramic substrate.

  • 4-terminal Current sensing resistor
  • Surface-mount 1216 chip size
  • Continuous current load up to 100A (0.0005Ω)
  • Resistance values of 0.0003Ω, 0.0004Ω, 0.0005Ω, 0.00075Ω, 0.001Ω, 0.002Ω and 0.003Ω
  • TCR value <50 ppm/°C (between +20°C and +60°C)
  • Temperature range from -65°C to +170°C
  • Tolerance ±1.0% and ±5.0% tolerance
  • Excellent long term stability
  • Power rating 10W (at +70°C)
  • Maximum solder temperature up to 350°C for 30 sec
